Kelly Robinson was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina, and while growing up spent most of her time exploring the mountains around her. Kelly took her first "serious" Pilates mat class while studying art and photography at Appalachian State University. After that she was hooked and the following semester enrolled in the Pilates equipment class and began her two year long journey into becoming a Pilates Instructor. At ASU Kelly completed a 600+ hour Comprehensive Classical Pilates instructor Certification and immediately began teaching in Asheville. After receiving her initial certification Kelly went on to complete the Fusion Pilates Pre and Post Natal training in 2007, the Smart Spine Proffesional workshop in 2008, and the Gyrotonic Level 1 training the same year. When she's not in the studio Kelly enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding and aerial silks.
"I love Pilates because the method can adapt to anyone and everyone, and the work relates to all aspects of moving and living"
Kerri Saum discovered Pilates in 1992 while watching a Pilates Method video attempting to recover from a very serious leg injury. With the help of physical therapy and her new-found video, she was able to walk without a cane and her severe limp soon became a memory. She knew at that moment that Pilates would be with her for the rest of her life and thought the best way to 'pay it forward' was to teach. Shortly after her first daughter was born 1999, she began her formal training with the highly respected Leslie Clayton at the Body Awareness Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. After the birth of her second daughter, the family moved to Asheville where she has been teaching at the Grove Park Inn for the past three years. She also teaches Mat classes in a corporate setting and loves the positive feedback she gets from her once sedentary students. She started working with Dianne at Rose Pilates's in the Fall of 2009 and enjoys the challenge of teaching group classes.
Meagan Witkus moved to the mountains of Asheville, NC in 2003 from Boston, MA. Meagan loves the outdoors and tries to play outside as much as possible. When she is not whitewater rafting or hiking, she is passionate about Pilates. Meagan started to explore Pilates more seriously in 2006 with Dianne as her mentor at Rose Pilates. She is currently in the Core Dynamics teacher training program with the Pilates Education Group, and is excited about joining the staff at Rose Pilates. Meagan believes she has found a life long connection with Pilates, and is hoping to inspire others to benefit from the work of Joseph Pilates.
